Catholic education has shaped and guided my entire life from my elementary, high school, college, and graduate education to my career in Catholic education. My three children were also educated in Catholic schools because of my strong faith in the Catholic School system. Catholic education is more than just teaching the academics. It is teaching a way of life. As Catholic educators, we have a responsibility to teach and model faith in God, respect for all, as well as morals and service to others.
Before arriving at Our Lady of Providence, I served as the Assistant Principal at St. Fidelis Elementary School in College Point, Queens. I have taught at the elementary and high school levels--including the subjects of Art, Computer Technology, and Mathematics. I have been the technology coordinator and have brought many innovative technology resources to my schools. I earned a BFA, majoring in Fine Art and Psychology, and a Masters Degree in Education, majoring in School Building Leadership, both at St. John's University. I was the recipient of the "Outstanding Student for Excellence in School Leadership" award from St. John's University and I hold NYS certification as a School Building Leader.
I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to continuing my service to the community of Our Lady of Providence as Principal. Together with the faculty and parents, I will strive to keep our school a safe, loving environment with high academic achievement.
